Love-Hope Reading Camp

What do you get when dozens of kids come together with dozens of adults and books during Spring Break? The answer is a fun and successful Reading Camp.

During March 18-20, we converged on the property of Calvary International Revival Church to work with the kids of their church and community on reading skills. And what would a camp be without great snacks, singing, and laughter. Thanks for everyone who helped with the Reading Camp in March.

Here are some of the numbers.

  • Over 30 students participated

  • 218 books were read

  • Almost 33 combined reading hours by the students

  • Plus, 27 volunteers helped during the camp. They represented at least 4 different churches, two different school groups, and many other individuals.

And we would like to give special thanks to Tim Baldridge (our camp leader), Calvary International Revival Church for hosting the event and Youth Hope for supplying most of the books!
